treasures in your area. This can include the consignment shop where items from
one owner have been placed in the care of the shop owner to find a new purpose
and home. Simple changes can transform a boring lamp and shade into a beautiful
work of art. Change the shade with fabric, trim or a beautiful wrapping paper.
Items that are slightly blemished can be repainted, repaired
and reused. Simple fixes to small problems can be found by searching on the Internet
or finding your inner ability to fix and repair. Desire is a powerful too.
Look for sales or remnants at the local fabric and
upholstery stores. Very expensive fabric is sold for minimal costs due to the
fact that smaller remnants are deemed undesirable to upholsterers. Their loss
is your gain. These small pieces make beautiful pillows, small throws for your
favorite chair or accents on the end of your bed.
That beautiful slightly used frame in Second Hand stores can
easily increase the visual value of a favorite piece of art.
